Our Community Building and Grounds are home to the Shrimp Festival, the Queens Ball, the Shrimp Queens Pageant, Winter Fest, The annual Rotary Senior Citizens Dinner, Bingo, Tool Sales, and many other events.

It also houses the only Community Theatre in the County. Our facility is also used for Town Meetings, Reunions, Retirement Celebrations as well as many other social gatherings. .

It is a great place for weddings, receptions, retirement celebrations, birthday parties, military affairs and business meetings.

7000 square foot steel structure with the following amenities:

The building is of course inspected by the Onslow County Fire Marshal and County Safety Department.

Prices for building: The building is rented on a first come, first deposit basis.

$100.00 Deposit (refundable) $85.00 for decorating the day prior $40.00 for small office meetings
$10.00 key deposit (refundable)

Not for profit events: For profit events:
Residents: $200.00 Residents: $350.00
Non-residents: $400.00 Non-residents: $500.00

Grounds pricing: The 7 acre grounds are also available for rent but must be approved by the Community Council. Pricing will depend upon the event, electrical needs, water needs, camping spaces, duration of event, profit / non-profit, etc.

Grounds:
The 7 acres grassy grounds are well maintained with trees and fences lining the boundaries with the following amenities:

Grand stand covered stage with full electrical hook ups for bands
2 pavilions: There is no charge for local "not for profit"; local "for profit" and political are $50.00
Street lights through out the 7 acre field
Water & electric available: Water is $10.00 per day and Electric is $25.00 per day
Picnic tables present; other tables & chairs available
15 Camping spaces with water & 30 amp.110 electrical hook ups (no sewer facilities) $25.00 per day, per space
The grounds are rented separately, per event. Please contact us for details.
There are no restroom facilities on the grounds unless you rent port-a-johns

 

Local civic organizations:
Lions club, Rotary, etc, and Community Groups; Garden Club, Friends of Library, etc; as well as local Churches may rent the building or grounds at half of the normal fee as long as they are an active participating Community Council members, and it is approved by the Council.

Co-sponsored events:
Any event, co-sponsored and approved by the Community council is free of charge.

Political Parties: Must rent the building and grounds at full price.

Black out dates:
Some dates may already be reserved, please contact the building manager for your specific details.

Refunds: Deposits will only be refunded with a 60 day notice.

Rental policy:
The rental policy is subject to change.

Rental contracts and liability:
You are required to sign a rental contract prior to renting the building or grounds that itemizes; your rental fees, deposits, cleanliness, your alcohol and liability agreement, insurance, hold harmless agreement, etc.
