Our Community Center and Grounds are home to the Shrimp Festival, the Shrimp Queens Pageant, the Queens Ball, Winter Fest, the annual Rotary sponsored Senior Citizens Dinner, Bingo, and it also houses the Sneads Ferry Community Theatre, the only theatre in Onslow County. Our facility is also used for town meetings and it is a great place for weddings, receptions, reunions, retirement celebrations, birthday parties, military affairs and business meetings; as well as many other social gatherings.

The building is inspected by the Onslow County Fire Marshal and is equipped with smoke detectors, lighted emergency exits and emergency lights, fire extinguishers and a first aid kit.
The 8’ rectangle tables may be rented for use away from the center for $2.50 each per day and the folding chairs may be rented for use away from the center for $1.00 each per day.
Deposits and Refunds: The center is rented on a first come, first deposit basis and is limited to one rental party per day. Deposits are $100.00 and are returned after the building is inspected for cleanliness and keys are returned. Cancellation refunds will be issued with a 30 day notice. Cancellations with less than 30 days notice will receive no deposit refund.

Grounds pricing: The grounds are also available for rent but must be approved by the Sneads Ferry Community Council. Pricing will depend upon the event, electrical needs, water needs, camping spaces, duration of event, profit / non-profit, etc.
The 7 acres grassy grounds are well maintained with trees and fences lining the boundaries with the following amenities:
Grand stand covered stage with full electrical hook ups
Security flood lights throughout the field
2 pavilions with picnic tables
(local "not for profit" = no charge; local "for profit" and political uses = $50.00 per day)
Water is available for $10.00 per day by the community center
Electricity is available through JOEMC—contact them directly

There are no restroom facilities on the grounds; you must provide your own port-a-johns.
Local civic organizations:
Local civic organizations as well as local Churches may rent the building and/or grounds at half of the normal fee as long as they are active participating Sneads Ferry Community Council members.
Any event, co-sponsored and approved by the Sneads Ferry Community Council is free of charge.
Political Parties: Must rent the building and grounds at full price.

Refunds: Deposits will only be refunded with a 30 day notice.

Rental contracts and liability:
You are required to sign a rental contract prior to renting the building or grounds that itemizes; your rental fees, deposits, cleanliness, alcohol and liability agreement, insurance, hold harmless agreement, etc.
